An Act to remove from publication in the Cascadian Gazette, deeds-pools on the subject of a change of name of a citizen of the Realm, and for purposes connected therewith
Be it Enacted by His Most Gracious and Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of Parliament assembled, as follows–
Preface
- This Act shall be known as the Deeds-Pool (Removal from Cascadian Gazette) Act, Bill 9112, 2025.
General
- Deeds-pool relating to name changes are published in the Cascadian Gazette as a public notification for any relevant party about the change.
- As name changes, in this time tend to be for privacy reasons instead of fraudulent reasons as in the past, such notifications shall be discontinued from publication in the Cascadian Gazette.
- The former name shall no longer be a legal identifier of the petitioner, and its use shall cease in legal documents.
- The former name shall be permitted in civil contexts, excepting contracts or other legally-binding documents, to allow the use of stage names etc.
- The Secretary of State may permit, on a case-by-case basis, the use of former names in legal aspects.
