An Act to provide for the Creation of a Union between Baustralia and New Antrim, to organise Municipal Governance for New Antrim, and for connected purposes
Be it Enacted by His Most Gracious and Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of Parliament assembled, as follows–
Preface
- This Act will be known as the Union with New Antrim Bill, 2026.
- This Act comes into force upon royal assent being granted.
Union with New Antrim
- Baustralia and New Antrim, upon the enactment of this Act, will comprise a single union within the present Kingdom of Baustralia. The Grand Duchy of Achadhmór will likewise enter this union as a part of New Antrim.
- The parliaments of both Baustralia and New Antrim recognise that His Majesty the King of New Antrim and Grand Duke of Achadhmór, has by granting his royal assent to this bill, has abdicated the Crown of New Antrim and Achadhmór in addition to any further titles held for himself and his successors.
- The parliaments of both Baustralia and New Antrim recognise that His Majesty the King of Baustralia will assume the Crown of New Antrim and Achadhmór in addition to any further titles held and that the succession to the Crown of New Antrim and Achadhmór will be automatically bound by laws determining the succession to the Crown of Baustralia.
- The constitutional order of Baustralia, unless specifically amended by this Act, is unchanged.
- Upon the enactment of this Act, all citizens of New Antrim and Achadhmór automatically become Baustralian citizens without the need for registration or application.
- All public property, archives, funds, records, contracts and obligations of New Antrim shall vest in His Royal Government.
- The Parliament of New Antrim and the offices of New Antrian ministers is henceforth abolished. All other state officials in New Antrim will remain in post.
- All liabilities, debts and obligations of New Antrim shall become liabilities of Baustralia.
County of New Antrim
- The territory of New Antrim and Achadhmór is organised into a county-level administration known as “County of New Antrim”. The County of New Antrim forms an integral part of Baustralia and will not be separated therefrom except by an Act of Parliament.
- Within the County of New Antrim, the following municipalities are formed.
- The City of Neilston;
- The Town of Roverton;
- The Village of Achadhmór; and
- The Village of Edgeham.
- The City of Neilston comprises most of the entire territory of the Kingdom of New Antrim which is enclaved by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland prior to the enactment of this Act.
- The Town of Roverton comprises the entire territory of the Kingdom of New Antrim which is enclaved by the Republic of Ireland prior to the enactment of this Act.
- The Village of Achadhmór comprises the entire territory of the Grand Duchy of Achadhmór .
- The Village of Edgeham comprises the remainder of the entire territory of the Kingdom of New Antrim which is enclaved by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland prior to the enactment of this Act.
- All New Antrian law which is in force at the time of the enactment of this act remains in force within the County of New Antrim unless contradicted by any current or future Baustralian law. Except if the said law deals with foreign affairs, the Crown, the Constitution, immigration and citizenship.
- The Secretary of State instructs the Election Commission of Baustralia to organise a mayoral by-election for the County of New Antrim within 6 weeks of the enactment of this Act.
Peerages and Honours
- Any person possessing a peerage in the Peerage of New Antrim will maintain the ability to style themselves with the said peerage, should they so wish, but are not afforded any of the rights, dignity or responsibilities of person possessing a peerage in the Peerage of Baustralia.
- Any person who has been awarded the King James III Coronation Medal, the Noble Order of St. Mark and the Order of the Star of Hibernia may continue to style themselves such but those New Antrian orders will not be recognised as a Baustralian order.
- Any person granted a heraldic achievement in the Kingdom of New Antrim will maintain the ability to style themselves with the said achievement, should they so wish.
Military
- The armed forces of New Antrim are merged in their entirety into the Baustralian Armed Forces.
- The existing units of the armed forces of New Antrim will remain intact without any changes to their officer structure.
