8 John 1, chapter 9

An Act to permit the Honours Committee to release the official Order of Precedence in relation to the Baustralian Honours System, to Add the Military Order of Saint Micheal, the Diplomatic Service Order, the Ostreum Medal, and the Opstandia Medal, to the Baustralian Honours System, to repeal the Second Chapter of the Statutes of the Parliament that sat during the Fourth Year of King John, and for purposes connected therewith

  1. This Act shall be known as the Order of Precedence (Honours) Act, Bill T841, 2024, c. 9.

Additions to the Baustralian Honours System

  1. The Military Order of Saint Micheal shall be placed in the order of precedence as follows:
    1. Knight Commander of Saint Micheal shall take precedence after the Knight Commander of the Baustralian Empire.
    2. Commander of Saint Micheal shall take precedence after the Commander of the Baustralian Empire.
    3. Officer of Saint Micheal shall take precedence after the Officer of the Baustralian Empire.
  2. The Diplomatic Service Order shall be placed in the order of precedence as follows:
    1. Grand Officer, DSO, shall take precedence after the Knight Commander of the Saint Micheal.
    2. Officer, DSO, shall take precedence after the Commander of the Saint Micheal.
    3. Member, DSO, shall take precedence after the Officer of the Baustralian Empire.
  3. The Ostreum Medal shall be placed in the order of precedence before the Minty Medal, taking the senior colonial medal position.
  4. The Opstandia Medal shall be placed in the order of precedence after the Minty Medal, taking the junior colonial medal position.

Allocation of Powers to the Honours Committee

  1. This Act shall permit the Honours Committee to promulgate orders amending the Order of Precedence of the Baustralian Honours System.

Repeal of Previous Statutes

  1. Order of Precedence (Honours) Act, 4 John 1 c. 2 shall be repealed.
