An Act to Establish provisions for Local Government and Administration in Baustralia, and for purposes connected therewith

Be it Enacted by His Most Gracious and Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of Parliament assembled, as follows–

Preface

1. The short title of this Act is the Local Government and Administration Act, 2025.

Local Government

2. There will be a two tier system of local government in Baustralia.
3. The first tier will be County level.
4. The second tier will be District Level.

Tiers of Local Government

5. The following will be the Counties in Baustralia–
1. County of Holderton;
2. County of Landspotter;
3. County of Mild Pond;
4. County of New Texas;
5. County of Newport;
6. County of Vienna; and
7. County of the Whiskey Islands.
6. Each County will be locally administered by a Lord Mayor or Lady Mayor.
7. The Crown will appoint under letters patent a Lord Mayor for each County, who must be a resident within their appointed County.

Local Government

Boundaries

11. The boundaries and legal limits of all Counties and District will be created by the relevant government ministry tasked with home affairs and promulgated by an Order of Council.
12. The establishment, merger or abolition of any County or District will be created by the relevant government ministry tasked with home affairs and promulgated by an Order of Council.

Special Provisions

13. The City of Cascadia will be the capital city of Baustralia.
