Be it Enacted by His Most Gracious and Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of Parliament assembled, as follows–
Preface
- The short title of this Act is the Honours and Precedence (Reform) Act, 2025.
Order of Precedence
- The Order of Precedence in Baustralia will be determined by an Order of Council as issued by the Crown, subject to the advice and consent of the Honours Commission.
Great Offices
- There will be certain prestigious offices in Baustralia known as the Great Offices of Baustralia, which will be the following-
- the Lord High Steward;
- the Lord President of the Privy Council;
- the Lord High Chancellor;
- the Lord Privy Seal;
- the Lord Chief Justice;
- the Lord High Treasurer; and
- the Lord Chaplain General.
- The Great Offices of State will be granted to individuals by the Crown under letters patent, subject to the advice and consent of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, with the recommendation of the Honours Commission being binding for those so nominated to such positions.
- No connection to the offices laid out in Section 3 of this Act are to be connected with any offices at present in Baustralia, and any function or ex officio function thereof is severed permanently.
