Be it Enacted by His Most Gracious and Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of Parliament assembled, as follows–
Preface
- The short title for this Act is the Civil Rights and Privileges Act, 2025.
Civil Rights and Privileges
- All provisions of this Act, unless indicated otherwise, apply equally to all individuals in Baustralia, and its realm and territories, whether a citizen or not.
- All individuals have the right to freely speak, write, or otherwise communicate by whatever media, whether physical or digital.
- All individuals have the right to freely practise or otherwise observe any ceremony or function relating to any religion, creed or spirituality.
- No individual or group may be discriminated in Baustralia on the basis of–
- race;
- ethnicity;
- creed;
- religion;
- spirituality;
- sex;
- gender identity;
- language;
- origin;
- mental or physical status;
- mental or physical disability; and
- national, social, ethnic, or cultural origin or background.
- No individual will be held in slavery or indentured servitude, and will not be sold, bought or otherwise traded.
- No individual will be subject to torture, inhuman, cruel or degrading treatment or punishment.
- All individuals are held as equal before the law and without any special distinction, unless where provided.
- No individual will be subject to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.
- All individuals are entitled to a fair, speedy and public trial in a court of law, along with being provided adequate legal counsel and support.
- All individuals charged with a criminal offence are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
- All individuals will be protected against arbitrary interference concerning privacy and property.
- All individuals have the right of freedom of movement inside and outside of Baustralia.
Miscellaneous Provisions
- No macronational, micronational or international law will be followed in the decisions and precedents of Baustralia Law, save those which are expressly enacted into statute, or allowed by the same.
- The interpretation, consequential effects and outcome of any and all statutes of Baustralia law, including Acts of Parliament, and any other passed enactment, will be liable to be interpreted by the relevant government ministry tasked with justice affairs or constitutional affairs only.
