An Act to Establish the use of an official Calendar in Baustralia, and for purposes connected therewith

Be it Enacted by His Most Gracious and Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of Parliament assembled, as follows–

Preface

1. The short title for this Act is the Calendar Act, 2025.

Official Calendar

2. All official public and private, governmental and nongovernmental entities in Baustralia will adopt and use the Gregorian Calendar.

Regnal Year

3. Acts of Parliament, and certain other ceremonial documents relating to the Crown, will use a Regnal Year, which will relate to the reign of the presiding Sovereign of Baustralia.
4. The Regnal Year will begin with the day the monarch takes office, and stop upon them ceasing to hold office.
5. The regnal year will be written in Arabic numerals, e.g. 1 John, 2 John etc.
6. The regnal year, its form and layout, and any other usage or adoption of use, will be adopted and promulgated for use by the relevant government ministry tasked with justice affairs.
