Be it Enacted by His Most Gracious and Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of Parliament assembled, as follows–
Preface
- The short title of this Act is the Baustralian Realms Act, 2025.
Baustralian Realms Reform
- The day this Act is granted Royal Assent, all Realms, Territories, Dominions and Colonies held by Baustralia are hereby expelled and abolished in their entirety, and any enactment touching the same.
- Notwithstanding the preceding, any Territories, Dominions and Colonies so held to be re-constituted under Section 4 of this Act the day before this Act is granted Royal Assent, may be inducted under the provisions of Section 4 of this Act, and do not require any further Act of Parliament to be constituted, which action may be done by an Order of Council, upon the advice and consent of the Cabinet of Baustralia being sought by the Crown in the first place.
Commonwealth of Baustralia
- The Commonwealth of Baustralia, or the Baustralian Commonwealth, will be an intergovernmental body, whose member states share the reigning Crown of Baustralia as its head of state.
- There will be the following classes of membership in the Commonwealth of Baustralia-
- a “Realm” will be an entity whose legislature, executive and judiciary and government are entirely independent from that of Baustralia, and is capable of maintaining its own government, judiciary and legislature as an independent entity; and
- a “Territory” will be an entity whose legislature, executive and judiciary and government are dependent on that of Baustralia, and is incapable of maintaining only a limited form of its own government, judiciary and legislature as an independent entity.
- Any and all enactments, laws or statutes passed by a member state of the Commonwealth of Baustralia must be subservient to and under Baustralian enactments, laws and statutes.
- A member state will only be admitted to the Commonwealth of Baustralia by an Act of Parliament, and may only leave via an Act of Parliament.
- The day-to-day affairs of the Commonwealth of Baustralia will be handled by the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Baustralia, who will be appointed by the Crown under the advice of the Prime Minister of Baustralia.
- The following will be the Representatives of the Crown for a member state of the Commonwealth of Baustralia, who will represent the Crown and its affairs and act as the connection between the entity and the Crown of Baustralia-
- a “Governor-General” for a Realm; and
- a “Chief Commissioner” for a Territory.
- The officials appointed under Section 5 of this Act must be-
- a Citizen of Baustralia; and
- be at least fifteen years of age.
- A Representative of the Crown may act in place of the Crown and carry out any of the Royal Functions as otherwise required, subject to the advice and consent of the Cabinet of Baustralia.
- All individuals born into or otherwise beholden within a member state of the Commonwealth of Baustralia will be termed “Baustralian Commonwealth Citizens”, and will hold all rights, privileges and entitlements as a citizen of Baustralia, unless provided for otherwise in law.
- Any and all substantive, legislative, executive or judicial functions or institutions within a member state of the Commonwealth of Baustralia must be established expressly by Act of Parliament, barring those minor functions and institutions as is common in basic government.
