An Act to Devolve the Establishment of Routes to the Routes Office by Order
- This Act shall be known the the Official Orders (Routes) Act, Bill C7121, 2023.
Official Orders
- The Routes Office, under the authority of the Secretary of State for Routes, or such higher authority as permitted by legislation (i.e. the Parliament by common law, or the Monarch by the Monarchy (Powers) Act, 3 John 1 c. 14), shall be permitted to publish orders relating to the establishment of various routes within the Kingdom, as well as International Routes.
- The Routes Office shall, under the same authority, as well the approval of the Lord Governor of the Colony concerned, be permitted to publish similar orders, relating to the establishments of various routes outside the Kingdom and within the Empire.
Interpretation
- Such official orders shall be codified as secondary legislation, with the following citations:
- Short titles used in primary legislation shall take the place of long titles in such orders.
- Short titles, as would appear in primary legislation, shall be replaced with "Routes Office Order No. X-Y".
- Order numbering shall be ordinal from the assent of this Act, restarting each calendar year, with the calendar year prefixing the number, separated by a hyphen (e.g. Routes Office Order No. 2023-1).
- The citation format for such orders shall be R.O.O. X-Y, (e.g. R.O.O. 2023-1).
- Usual interpretation of wording within such orders shall be the same as primary legislation.
