An Act Regarding the Interpretation of a Resolution of Parliament and Purposes Connected Therewith

  1. This Act shall be known as the Interpretation (Resolution) Act, 2023, Bill C711.
  2. Any matter which requires the will of Parliament to be expressed, will be passed by Parliament as a Resolution of the House of Commons.
  3. A Resolution shall follow similar citation rules to Acts of Parliament:
    1. Regnal year as described in the Calendar Act, 3 John 1 c. 30.
    2. The number following ‘No.’
    3. An example is 3 John 1 No. 1 (Abbreviated form)
    4. The citation may be read as
      1. Third John Resolution One (Short form)
      2. The Third Resolution of the Parliamentary Session that sat in the Third Year of the Reign of King John I (Long form)
    5. The matter which requires the will of Parliament to be expressed shall be usually referred to by their name (Named form)
