An Act Regarding Currencies and Banknotes

Repealed by Statute Law Reform Act, 8 John 1 c. 11

Be it enacted by His Most Gracious Majesty, and with the Consent of the Current Commons assembled, after the destruction of the original Act, the following:

  1. This Act shall be known as the Currency and Banknotes Act, c. 29.
  2. Any man who destroys, defaces, or modifies any banknotes are in violation of this Act.
  3. Any man who destroys, defaces, or modifies any coins are in violation of this Act.
  4. Any man in violation of this Act is subject to a fine not exceeding double the value destroyed, defaced, or modified.
