An Act regarding the legitimization of the practice of marriage, and for purposes connected therewith
Definitions
- This Act shall be known as the Marriage Act, 2020.
- “Legitimization” is the process of legitimizing or making something legal.
- “Marriage” is the process by which two people make their relationship public, official, and permanent.
- “Practice” is the actual application or use of an idea, belief, or method, as opposed to theories relating to it.
- “Party” is a person or people forming one side in an agreement or dispute.
- “Secular” denotes attitudes, activities, or other things that have no religious or spiritual basis.
Terms
- The act of marriage will be legalized and recognized as a legitimate practice in the Empire.
- Marriage will only be legitimate between living beings of the same species, no inanimate object or artificial intelligence will be recognized in marriage.
- Marriage must take place with at least two parties, and all parties must agree to the unity.
- Marriage can also take place between parties of any sex/gender.
- The ceremony can be conducted either religiously or secularly at the parties’ discretion.
