An Act to Provide Protection for the environment by imposing fines for littering

  1. This Act shall be known as the Environment Protection (Littering) Act, 2020.
  2. Littering shall be defined as any non-compostable waste improperly disposed of onto public property, or one’s else property.
  3. Dumping shall be defined as mass-littering, that is littering of one kilogram or more of waste.

Punishment

  1. A fine shall be imposed for first-time littering offences of 150 boercs.
    1. Second-time offences: 300 boercs.
    2. Third-time offences, 450 boercs.
    3. Fourth-time offences will result in an arrest, and imprisonment for 30 days.
  2. Dumping will result in an arrest, imprisonment for 3 months, and a fine of 3 750 boercs.
    1. For each offence thereafter, the punishment will increase two-fold.
