An Act regarding the Resignation of Ministers of the Crown, Members of Parliament, and Other Officers of the Crown

Repealed by Statute Law Reform Act, 8 John 1 c. 11

Be it enacted by His Most Gracious Majesty and by the consent of the Commons as follows:

  1. This Act shall be known as the Resignation Act, 2019.
  2. “Persons concerned” shall refer to Ministers of the Crown, Members of Parliament, and other officers of the crown (including Members of His Most Gracious and Excellent Majesty’s Baustralian Armed Forces).
  3. Persons concerned, should they wish to resign, must do so two weeks in advance.
  4. Persons concerned shall work for no longer two weeks after handing in their resignation provided the resignation was accepted.
